Lester J. Brister

Word has been received of the death of Lester J. Brister, 76, who died Saturday (March 17, 2001) at Wade Park in Cleveland.

He leaves three sisters, Betty Ogle of Byesville, Edna Beans and Marie Wiseman of Canton.Burial was in Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.

Grace V. Briggs

WOODSFIELD — Grace V. Briggs, 90, of Woodsfield, died Thursday (April 12, 2001) at the Monroe County Care Center, Woodsfield.

Arrangements are pending at Watters Funeral Home, Woodsfield.

Frank Triplett

CALDWELL — Frank Triplett, 75, of Caldwell, died Thursday (April 12, 2001) at Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center, Cambridge.

Arrangements are pending at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, Caldwell.

Grace Beatrice Sanford services

CALDWELL — Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, Caldwell, for Grace Beatrice Sanford, 97, of Caldwell, who died Tuesday (April 10, 2001) at Summit Acres Nursing Home, Caldwell.

The Rev. Gary Fitzgerald will officiate. Burial will be in Olive Cemetery.

Friend may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

She was born Aug. 8, 1903, on a family farm near Martins Ferry.

Mrs. Sanford attended Caldwell United Methodist Church and was a 71-year member of Amazon Chapter 30, Order of Eastern Star.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George Sanford, in July 1969; and a brother, Ralph Zeyer.

She leaves two sons, Lorin (Eleanor) Sanford of Caldwell, and Donald (Pat) Sanford of Rockford, Ill.; a daughter, Mrs. Paul (Irma) Wheeler of Pleasant City; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.
