Harold Leonard Wade Sr.

            Harold Leonard Wade Sr., 60, of Cambridge Road, New Concord,
            died Wednesday (Nov. 15, 2000) at Southeastern Ohio Regional
            Medical Center, Cambridge.

            He was born May 12, 1940, in Fly, son of the late Arnold Wade Sr.
            and Sarah Belle Moyer.

            Mr. Wade had worked at ACE Disposal for 28 years and attended
            Bloomfield Presbyterian Church. He was a member of REACT and
            the Ohio National Guard.

            He was preceded in death by three brothers, Jimmy Wade, Eddie
            Wade and Arnold Wade; two sisters, Elizabeth Wade and Norma
            Jean Lusk.

            He leaves his wife, Shirley B. (Dodd) Wade of the home. They were
            married Dec. 6, 1974. Also surviving are eight children, Mrs. Cindy
            (Jim) Stull, Richard Dodd, Mrs. Robert (Crystal) Beach and Harold
            Jr. “BJ” (Janelle Coen) Wade, all of New Concord, Christina (Phillip
            Shepherd) Wade of Cambridge, Arnold Wade and Candace
            Wade, both of the home, and Lisa Shaffer of Byesville; four
            grandchildren, Katlyn Beach, Robin Dodd, Jessie Shaffer and Mark
            Shaffer; three sisters, Mrs. Melvin (Nancy) Gray of Cambridge, Mrs.
            Cecil (Patricia) Peters of Senecaville and Mrs. Roger (Judy) Smith
            of Buffalo; a brother, Robert “Bobby” Wade of Barnesville; a
            sister-in-law, Judy Wade Ellard of Charleston, W.Va.; an aunt,
            Goldie Hilton of Cambridge; two brothers-in-law, Lin Hill of
            Greenville and Edward Pierce of Byesville; step-mothers, Catherine
            Wade and Mary Stevens, both of Cambridge; step-brothers, Ross
            (Kay) Jewell of Birmingham, Gene Jewell of Byesville, Jack
            (Norma) Abrams, Kenny (Margie) Abrams and Fred (Ricki)
            Abrams, all of Cambridge; two step-sisters, Mrs. Jake (Penny)
            LaFollette of Walhonding and Marilee; several nieces and
            nephews.

            Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at Thorn-Black
            Funeral Home, Cambridge, and from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Friday at
            Bloomfield Presbyterian Church, with services to follow at 11:30
            a.m. with the Rev. Marty Radcliff officiating.

            Burial will be in Bloomfield Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

                              Elmer John Tuckosh

            CADIZ — Elmer John Tuckosh, 65, of Jewett, died Tuesday (Nov.
            14, 2000) at Shadyside Hospital, Pittsburgh, Pa.

            He was born Oct. 18, 1935, in Harrisville, son of the late John and
            Irene (Chernok) Tuckosh.

            Mr. Tuckosh retired from Rocky Valley Farms, Hopedale. He was
            owner and operator of J&J Tuckosh Saw Sharpening Service,
            Jewett.

            He was preceded in death by a brother, George Tuckosh.

            He leaves his wife, Juanita (Gotshall) Tuckosh of Jewett; three
            sons, Charles Edward (Suni) Tuckosh of Oklahoma, Lawrence
            Everett Tuckosh of Minerva and John Douglas (Tammy) Tuckosh of
            Amsterdam; four grandchildren; and a brother, James (Donna)
            Tuckosh of Amsterdam.

            Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Clark-Kirkland Funeral
            Home, Cadiz, where services will be 1 p.m. Saturday.

            Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Jewett.

                          Walter "Ike" Fredrick Morgan

            LONDONDERRY — Walter “Ike” Fredrick Morgan, 47, of
            Kimbolton, died Tuesday (Nov. 14, 2000) at his home.

            He was born July 22, 1953, in Akron, son of Pauline J. (Williams)
            Morgan of Akron and the late Walter W. Morgan.

            Mr. Morgan was a retired chief Navy officer and a graduate of
            Northwestern University, having earned a bachelor of arts degree.

            He was preceded in death by two brothers; a sister; and
            grandmother, Jennie Williams.

            He leaves his life long friend and companion, James W. Lawson of
            Kimbolton; two sisters, Joy Tripp of Uniontown and Patricia Litten of
            Akron; four brothers, Thomas R. Morgan of Maryland, Charlie
            Morgan of Copley, Gregory Morgan of Barberton and Joseph
            Morgan of Akron.

            Services will be at the Schulp-Pucak Funeral Home, Akron. Burial
            will be in Lakewood Cemetery.

            Bond Funeral Home, Londonderry, is handling local arrangements.

                                 Helen M. Elder

            WOODSFIELD — Helen M. Elder, 56, of Woodsfield, died
            Tuesday (Nov. 14, 2000) at the Ohio Valley Medical Center,
            Wheeling, W.Va.

            She was born April 21, 1944, in Bethesda, daughter of Wilford
            “Ham” and Thelma (Brandon) Phillips of Woodsfield.

            Mrs. Elder was a Baptist by faith.

            She was preceded in death by an infant brother.

            She leaves her husband, Bob Elder of Woodsfield; two sons,
            Richard H. Ward of Canton and Doug (Debbie) Ward of
            Woodsfield; two daughters, Mrs. John (Dawn) Weiss of Beallsville
            and Shannon Nicole Elder of Barnesville; four sisters, Jean Higgins
            of Wooster, Sandy Phillips and Charlotte Taylor,s both of
            Woodsfield, Shirley Kuhn of Massillon; five grandchildren, Deisa
            War, Kayla Ward Jared Ward of Woodsfield, J.C. Weiss and
            Hunter Weiss of Beallsville.

            Friends may call from 3 to 9 p.m. Friday at Bauer-Turner Funeral
            Home, Woodsfield, where services will be 11 a.m. Saturday.

            Burial will be in Neuhart Cemetery, near Woodsfield.

                                    Elmer Saft

            Word has been received of the death of Elmer Saft, 89, of Long
            Beach, Calif., formerly of Quaker City, who died Friday (Sept. 29,
            2000) in Long Beach.

            He was born July 25, 1911, in Martins Ferry, son of the late Charles
            and Mary Saft.

            Mr. Saft was reared on his parents’ farm in Quaker City and
            attended school in the Quaker City area.

            He was a U.S. Navy veteran, having served on the USS
            Pennsylvania, along with his brother, Woodrow Saft.

            He was a 62-year resident of Long Beach and builder, owner and
            operator of the Sunset Motel there.

            He leaves his wife, Evelyn Saft; his children, Colleen Saft Clark of
            Long Beach, Julia Saft of Sweet Home, Ore., Roger Saft of
            Anchorage, Alaska, and John Saft of Las Vegas, Nev.; 11
            grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Woodrow Saft
            of Dahlgren, Va., and Albert Saft of Cambridge; two sisters, Anna
            Mae Ford of Fairfield and Betty Howard of Cambridge.

            A private family memorial service was held.

                                 Neva E. Secrest

            WOODSFIELD — Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Bauer-Turner
            Funeral Home, Woodsfield, for Neva E. Secrest, 90, of Fairground
            Road, Woodsfield, who died Tuesday (Nov. 14, 2000) at
            Woodsfield Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

            The Rev. Don Hitchcock will officiate. Burial will be in Oaklawn
            Cemetery, Woodsfield.

            Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral
            home.

            She was born Sept. 22, 1910, in Guernsey County, daughter of the
            late Willard T. and Effie (Gregg) Hartup.

            Mrs. Secrest was a member of Woodsfield Presbyterian Church,
            where she was a member of the ECILA Circle and a former Sunday
            school teacher.

            She was active in community affairs and a member of Monroe
            County Democratic Central Committee and a former member of the
            Rebekah Lodge.

            She was preceded in death by her husband, William A. Secrest,
            who died 1998; a sister, Lela Oliver; a brother, Paul Hartup; and a
            granddaughter, Theresa Secrest.

            She leaves two sons, Jim Secrest and David Secrest, both of
            Woodsfield; two daughters, Carol Schumacher of Woodsfield and
            Cathy Thornhill of Kittery, Maine; nine grandchildren; and 13
            great-grandchildren.

            Memorial contributions may be made to Woodsfield Presbyterian
